DWTS fans fear for Derek Hough's wife Hayley after friend Alfonso Ribeiro shares concerning post fol

ALFONSO Ribeiro has worried fans with his recent post.

The Dancing With The Stars host shared a photo of Derek Hough and his wife, Hayley Erbert, just days after her major health scare.

On December 7, the DWTS judge revealed on his Instagram that Hayley was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma and had to undergo an emergency craniectomy.

He also revealed that she was in stable condition.

"I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her. I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time," he wrote.

On Monday, Alfonso, 52, shared a photo of Derek and Hayley on his Instagram account asking for prayers.

He captioned the post: "Please send your prayers to @hayley.erbert and @derekhough and family. They mean everything to me and our family. Put love in your heart and send it to them."

'HAS ME VERY WORRIED'

The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star's post was reshared on a popular DWTS internet forum.

"This is concerning for sure," another fan agreed.

A third said: "I feel so horrible for her! Praying for her, him and her family! Hoping the best and a speedy recovery for her!"

"I google Derek every day for updates," a fourth revealed.

A fifth admitted: "I obviously don’t know them, but have grown so fond of both of them. Really hope for a full recovery."

Someone else revealed their theory of why Alfonso shared the social media post: "I think it's just Alfonso's way of just asking for continued prayers as Hayley as well as Derek navigate this road. Like just good vibes being sent their way."

AN UPDATE

On December 8, Hayley's mother gave fans an update on how she was doing.

In the comments of Derek's post, she said: "Thank you all for reaching out with so many calls, messages, and texts. Hayley is so blessed and we can feel the outpouring of love. I'm so sorry I haven't responded. Please know that I am reading every message but need to keep my focus on my daughter's healing."

Her post continued: "We are asking that you continue to pray because it's working! She started talking to us mid-day and I don't think I have ever been so relieved in my life.

"She's a strong and mighty little thing and she's got this. Please keep Derek in your prayers as well. His heart is hurting so much."

MORE ON HER DIAGNOSIS

A cranial hematoma, or intracranial hematoma, is a "collection of blood within the skull," according to Mayo Clinic.

"It is usually caused by a blood vessel that bursts in the brain."

The website went on to say that the condition can be caused by trauma or a fall.

Some symptoms include headaches, dizziness, confusion, slurred speech, and vomiting.

Cedars-Sinai classifies a craniectomy as a "surgery to remove a portion of someone's skull to relieve extra pressure on the brain."

AWFUL SITUATION

This isn't the first time Hayley has been put in a scary situation.

In December 2022, it was revealed that Derek and her got into a "pretty scary car accident."

On Instagram, the couple shared a statement: "On December 12, Derek and I got into a pretty scary car accident in the mountains."

"Our accident involved a steep hill, icy roads, a tree, and worst of all, the fear that we would slide off the mountain."

Hayley shared videos and photos of fire trucks coming to their rescue and photos of Hayley in the hospital with cuts and scrapes on her face.

"Given the circumstances, we have so much to be grateful for. First, that there were no other people involved," the dancer continued.

"Second, the quick response from paramedics. And lastly, that we are both okay and that I only walked away a little banged up, a swollen face, and four stitches above my eyebrow."

Hayley ended: "Now, more than ever, we realize how fragile life is and how important it is to love those around you. We hope that everyone has a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season. XO."
